This is an all-inclusive package with a 6-nights’ stay in a private luxury Venetian palazzo right in the center of Venice. It is a perfect vacation for food and wine lovers, and Italy culture enthusiasts. Enjoy three full-meal cooking classes with Chef Kathy. Learn about the many wines of the Veneto, as your cooking class meals will include a wine-pairing with each course.

Enjoy a day in Prosecco wine country visiting Italy’s sparkling wine producers. Experience the culture of Venice with locals on short, daily guided walks that let you experience Venice as a local. Be thrilled by the beauty of this floating city during your private boat tour through Venice’s canals and along the Grand Canal. Explore the Rialto Market on a guided market tour and eat your way through Venice on a cicchetti food walk  and with authentic dining experiences during the week. The group size is limited to only 8 guests to ensure you are pampered and get individual attention throughout the vacation.

Join Kathy in the Valpolicella wine country for an added 4-nights in a countryside villa surrounded by vines. During your stay, you’ll visit wineries of the Valpolicella wine region, Verona, Padova and spend a relaxing day on Lake Garda. Ask about the Valpolicella extension package at the time of booking.


  • To secure you spot on the trip, a non-refundable deposit of $1,250 per person is required.

We’ll have three full-meal Venetian cooking classes with Chef Kathy in your luxury palace. The menu will be based on local seasonal cuisine using ingredients Chef Kathy finds each morning at the Rialto Market.

The week will include unforgettable activities immersing you in the food, wine and culture of Venice.  Take a guided tour of the Rialto Market with a local. You’ll have the option to join Chef Kathy on her morning market visits to purchase ingredients on the cooking class days. Take a private boat tour along the Grand Canal. You’ll also have daily 2-hour cultural walks with a local guide, immersing yourself in the culture of each neighborhood in Venice.  The walks will include visits to St. Mark’s Church, The Doge’s Palace (exterior), the Frari Church, Jewish Ghetto, and more.

Day 1: VENICE – Arrival Day and Welcome Prosecco Reception – Orientation Walk – Welcome Dinner

Benvenuti a Venezia! We’ll meet you at the Venice Marco Polo Airport at 11:30am and take you to our luxury accommodations in the center of Venice. You’ll have time to settle into your room before our Prosecco welcome reception and lunch at the palazzo. You’ll receive your Food Lover’s Venice gift bag, map, recipe booklet, and receive a short orientation to the city.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll head out for our private guided walk, an introduction to Venice and the St. Mark’s district.  You’ll have time to relax or wander the canals of this most serene floating city until dinner. We’ll meet back together in the evening for our welcome dinner at a favorite Venetian Restaurant.


Day 2: VENICE – Rialto Market Tour  – Cicchetti Crawl – Venetian Cooking Class – Dinner paired with Wines from the Veneto

In the morning take a guided visit to the Rialto market. Kathy will purchase ingredients for our evening cooking class. You’ll have time to wander the market on your own before we take a crawling lunch to some of our favorite cicchetti bars and sights in the San Polo and Santa Croce neighborhoods.

You’ll have the afternoon free in Venice. In the early evening, we’ll meet back up for our cooking class and dinner together at the palazzo. Dinner will be paired with a variety of wines from the Veneto.


Day 3 VENICE –  Private Boat Tour and the Dorsoduro – Lunch with a View – Spritz Party and Cooking Class 

We’ll have a late morning walk through the Dorsoduro distryic and then a private boat tour down the Grand Canal and through the smaller canals of Venice. Lunch will be with a beautiful view of the city.

Take the rest of the afternoon to enjoy and explore Venice on your own.  We’ll have our second Venetian Cooking Class at the palazzo, pairing more Veneto wines with our dinner.   Before our meal we’ll celebrate our time in Venice with THE local aperitivo – the Spritz.


Day 4: Day in Prosecco Wine Country

Today you’ll explore the Prosecco sparkling wine country region just north of Venice. Our guide for the day, a local sommelier, will take meet us in Venice and take us through the rolling hills of Prosecco. We’ll visit two wineries and have lunch together at a local trattoria.

In the late afternoon, we’ll return back to Venice. You’ll have time to relax at the palazzo before dinner at a typical Venetian seafood dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5: Walk through the Cannaregio and Jewish Ghetto – Evening Cooking Class


Explore Venice’s beautiful Cannaregio district and learn the history of the Jewish Ghetto in this district. We’ll have a group lunch together in Cannaregio, and then you will have the afternoon on your own to explore, shop or relax.

Our final cooking class is this evening at the palazzo. We’ll cook a full-meal together and pair the meal with a variety of Veneto wines. Before the meal, we’ll celebrate our week together with a Prosecco toast.

Day 6:  Murano Island Visit – Afternoon Free – Farewell Dinner Together

We’ll spend the first half of the day visiting the island of Murano. Murano is known for its Venetian Glass blowing furnaces. We’ll watch a glass blowing artist at work, stop into some of the artisan shops and then have lunch together on the island.

In the afternoon, you’ll have free time on your own to shop for Murano glass or you can visit the island of Burano, the island of lace and colorful houses. In the evening we’ll have our farewell dinner together at one of the favorite restaurants in the city.


Day 7:  Arrivederci Venezia!

After breakfast together, we’ll take a morning water taxi to the Venice Marco Polo Airport.

Those travelling on the extension package will leave a little later in the morning for Padova and then your countryside villa.
